Kundapur: The police have returned back the recovered ornaments which were stolen by Shivarama Madivala, to the executive office of Kollur Temple on Monday.

The ornaments were pledged in various banks and financial companies. A special squad which worked under the instructions of SP Annamalai, seized the ornamentals of worth Rs 75 lakh.

During the interrogation accused confessed that, he had pledged the gold in various banks and financial companies and 430 gms of gold was hidden in the temple.

As per the court orders, Areshirur CA Bank also returned 70 gms of gold to the temple.
