Mangalore : DC A.B. Ibrahim said that which is excelled in service, is rendering its assistance to the poor with quick response, hence the organization must continue their service-oriented attitude in future too.

Delivering a presidential address at World Red Cross Day celebration organized by Indian Red Cross Society at Athena Hospital on May 8, Thursday, DC said that every organization must come forward to provide such services to the society.

District training institute principal Prabhakar Sharma inaugurated the programme.

The Akashvani team comprising of artistes Samshuddin Sampya, Sandeep Salian, Maunesh Vishwakarma, Gopal Anchan, Prathima Gopal Anchan, theatre artist and Krishnaiah Laila performed a play displaying the importance of blood donation.

Red Cross DK district president Prabhakar Shriyan proposed vote of thanks, while Journalist Ronald Anil Fernandes compered the programme.

Mangalore Circle assistant drug controller Nagaraj K.V, Government Lady Goschen hospital medical superintendent Dr. Shakuntala M. Mugadhar, deputy mayor Kavitha Vasu and others were present.
