Mangalore: The DK District unit of the Indian Red Cross Society with a view to help patients of Ladygoschen Hospital as well as their relatives, has started a Help Desk at the Hospital. Ajay Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Corporation Bank, inaugurated the Help Desk.

Dr Shantharam Shetty, noted orthopaedician and DK District unit Chairman of the Red Cross Society, said the Help Desk would provide all necessary information to the patients and their relatives on the various facilities available in the hospital as well as try to redress the grievances, if any of the patients.

Dr. Shakuntala, Ladygoschen Hospital Superintendent, said the Red Cross Society has also come forward to set up a Blood Bank in the hospital. She also informed that the hospital required at least 60 to 100 bottles blood every day.
