Bangalore: Everyone is around the ring expecting the final round of boxing between Bellary Reddy group Vs Shimoga’s Yeddyurappa and Company. But the matches are not fixed and one would not be surprised if they are called off finally.
But Reddy brothers are bound by oath to remove Yeddy as CM, as he closed down their mining job in Iron ore on the Andhra borders and prevented iron ore transports, even legally permitted ones.
But Yeddy is under Central protection with Nitin Gadkari in Bangalore since yesterday and also today, to assess BJP chances of gains in ZP/TP elections, due on Dec 26 and 31 in two installments.
There is no agenda for removal of Yeddy, but Reddys will not go away. The internal feuds, cold war and bitterness know no limits. Arun Jaiteley has failed in his efforts to unify the groups into a strong BJP and a new caretaker of Karnataka has been appointed by Nitin. He is Dharmendra Pradhan.
But, beware of H.N. Anant Kumar who looted Central Housing Corporation Funds years ago and is empowering the once poor Bellary Reddys now. All of them are keeping away from ZP.TP election campaigns, only to rake up party leadership theme again, in 2011.
These “senators” from Bellary Raichur areas want only their strong holds untouched by Eashwarappa and Yeddyurappa. But do they (Reddys) have a party loyalty? Nitin has to find out from his General Secretary Ananth Kumar who has an eye on CM post. These days.
But J. Shettar is a different leader. Those who hate Yeddy, but do not like Reddys either, have Shettar as their pillar to go rounds. He could be a force in the party. But Nitin would not change the present CM. Besides there are seven Ministerial vacancies to be filled up in 2011. after ZP/TP results are out by January 5 next.
Gadkari spent a full day o Tuesday, Dec 7, beating about the bush but no action was taken to strengthen BJP in state by him, which helps only CM to strengthen his own positions, by new wave upon wave, in state politics.
