Udupi: In a sudden development the police department have succeeded in finding the whereabouts of Kota PSI Kabbal Raj, who had resigned to his post on Thursday. As per the sources the department have succeeded in convincing him and it is expected that he may report to his duty from Friday itself.

As per the sources, Udupi SP K T Balakrishna had taken task on Kabbal Raj over a land dispute at Airody village. Disappointed by this Kabbal Raj decided to tender his resignation and kept his resignation letter in the diary. He also kept the service revolver and official SIM card on the table and switched off his mobile phone.

Kabbal Raj’s family is residing at B C Road at Bantwal taluk. Police found that Kabbal Raj has reached there. Though the local police tried to contact him several times, they could not succeed. But, by late night on Thursday, higher officials succeeded to make contact with him.

SP K T Balakrishna said that Kabbal Raj had resigned over pressure on personal grounds.

“Higher officials have spoken to him and they had advised him to take relieve for two days, which Kabbal Raj rejected and accepted to join duty on Friday itself,” he said.
