Janardhana, a relief driver, who drove a bus full of women and children, into a ten-feet deep gorge by the roadside, at Neerpalke in Panjikallu village of Bantwal taluk on Thursday evening (Dec 15) went missing, or fled the scene of chaos.
Local people hearing the screams helped in transporting 10 seriously injured persons and also those who were in shock and trauma. The injured are in a Government hospital in Bantwal, while many others were given first aid immediately.
