Mangalore : Renowned journalist, columnist and media consultant Kalpana Sharma will inaugurate the two day National seminar on ‘Education and Women Empowerment’ at St. Ann’s college auditorium on September 12- 13, said seminar convener Dr. A Shashikala.

Addressing the press at the press meet held at Press Club on Sep 10, Tuesday, she said that Ammu Joseph, journalist and media-watcher based in Bangalore will deliver the key note address at the seminar organized by the College.

She also said that Dr R Indira, Professor of Sociology at Manasagangotri, Mysore and Vimala, president of ‘Janavaadi’ women organization will present the papers. Around 40 research papers will be presented at the seminar.

Roopa Rao, Social worker from Mysore, Dr. Shahida Maulana, professor of Azhad National Urdu University, Dr Udaya Kumar, Professor of Mangalore University and Merlin Martis, director Deeds will participate as the resources persons, she added.

Dr. Sr Leoneela Menezes, principal of the college and physical education director Suresh Kumar Shetty, were present at the press meet.
