Mangalore : Renowned poet Gulzar inaugurated Wilson J. P. D’Souza’s at exhibition titled ‘Rendezvous with Feminine’ at Orchid Art Gallery on July 8, Sunday.
Artist Wilson J. P. D’Souza have exhibited his paintings based on the feminine theme like Farmer and His Wife, Romantic Moment, Migration, I Am Losing Identity, Dance and Rejoice, Motherly Love, and others painted over three years ago.
Speaking after inaugurating the event, Gulzar briefed the audience on the connection between poetry and paintings.
Author Giselle Mehta said cover page of her novel Blossom Showers was chosen from one of the paintings of Wilson. On the occasion, she presented a copy of her novel to Gulzar, while Wilson presented him a painting of Women Musician.
Giselle Mehta, writer and former bureaucrat, and Juliana D’Souza, mother of Wilson D’Souza, were the dignitaries on the dais.
An exhibition will be open for public till July 15.
