Mumbai : Legal cell BJP President of Vileparle Vidhansabha requested Government of Karnataka for exemption from the requirement of a negative RT-PCR report to travel to state by road, air and train for fully vaccinated people.
In his letter to Honorable Chief Minister, Govt of Karnataka, Vileparle Vidhansabha BJP Legal cell President Morla Rathnakar Shetty stated, all the Kannadigas and Tuluvas of entire Maharashtra especially Mumbai and Pune to be to be free up from the requirement of a negative RT-PCR report to travel to our homeland by road air and train for fully vaccinated people. From several months RT-PCR report done 72 hours period has been mandatory to enter Karnataka primarly due to the high number of covid cases in Maharashtra.
In his letter he said, now the situation has improved and the covid cases have reduced to the extent of 90 percent in Maharashtra and in other parts of the states. The Union of Health Ministry had come out with a revised set of guidelines on domestic travel advising states to exempt fully vaccinated travellers from mandatory requirements of getting a negative RT-PCR Test on entry. But Karnataka state are demanding covid test report on entry from travellers irrespective of their vaccination status in airport, railway station etc.
I am once again requesting the state government that the fully vaccinated asymptomatic people having the final certificate of both doses should be exempted from mandatory requirement of negative rtpcr report on entry into state travelling by road air and railways with immediate effect in the interest of our people traveling smoothly to their home states for the varies reasons with their family members regularly. Expecting a favorable action from the concerned authorities of government in this regard soon. Assuring you all best of luck and wishing a happy Deepavali from all Horanadu Kannadigas.
Thanking you.
Yours sincerely,
Morla Rathnakar Shetty President,
Legal cell BJP, Vileparle Vidhansabha
