Bantwal : Condemning the repeated attack on tollgate staff during midnight, the locals staged a protest at the toll plaza, Brahmara Kootlu on April 19, Saturday.

According to the sources, a group of youth had attacked toll gate staff Sathyaraj at around 3 am and has been admitted to a private hospital and in this connection; the case has been registered at Bantwal police station.

It is also said that on April 15, the same group had attacked another tollgate staff Girish and had filed complaint at Bantwal Police Station against Hussainer, Nowry and Siddique, but no action was taken so far.

The residents demanded the police officials to take action against the culprit immediately.

Bantwal Police station inspector Rajashekar Mestri visited the spot.
