Mangalore : Residents of Nantur, Bikarnakatta, Padavu, Maroli, Shaktinagar, Kulshekhar, Kaikamba, Bajjodi organized a hunger strike against the improper location of Nantur Circle and bad roads at Nantur Circle on October 3, Thursday.

Prior to the protest, a procession took out from Bikarnakatte bus stop to Nantur Circle.

Addressing the protestors, resident and advocate Sumana Sharan said that in spite of bring the condition of bad roads into the notice of concerned authorities; no action has been taken yet. The improper design of the circle and the place located itself shows the creative idea of an engineer, which puts commuters and the pedestrians in difficulty. The residents will further stage violent protest if this has not been resolved.

Other resident Vasanth Kumar Shetty residents find very difficult to move or cross the roads in the huge traffic jams during the peak hours.

Mandd Sobhann president Eric Ozario and Social activist Gerald Towers also spoke on the occasion.

Sharath Kumar, Vasanth Kumar, Azeez, Ramesh Kumar, Bharat Kumar, Mukesh and others were present.
