Mangaluru: Following the chaos and confusion over delay in announcement of results of degree courses of Mangalore University (MU), the office of registrar (evaluation) has opened a dedicated helpline where such students can seek related information. Moreover, it is clarified that the results have been announced on the website of the university on January 23 and 24 itself.
“The results of all undergraduate courses have been announced on the website www.mangalore universit-y.ac.in. There is no confusion in the November 2016 examination results and so far no complaint is received regarding any ambiguity in the results,” a press release from the registrar office said.
The college-wise distribution of markscards has already started and all students are expected to get their markscards by February 15. The last day to apply for revaluation and personal seeing of answerscripts is February 28. The revaluation process will be completed by March 15.
There are a few cases of withheld results due to some genuine/technical reasons, such as wrong registration, internal marks not entered by colleges, entry of wrong subject codes or wrong registration number by students and pending admission approval. Such issues are being sorted after getting clarification from respective colleges, the university office and results are being published. This time the withheld results were less than 0.1%.
The news that appeared in some section of the media that university website has been hacked is far from truth. The website is technically well protected and cannot be hacked, the registrar said in the press release.
About 300 pending marks cards of earlier exams of May 2016 are being cleared. Principals of such colleges whose markcards are pending have been requested to send the details and all issues are being sorted out. A helpline has been opened for the students and colleges exclusively for examination related clarifications. Students may contact their college principal or can mail to muexamhelpli-ne@gmail.com or call to 0824-2287277/9481608909 and register their grievances.
