Mangalore: The retired judge of Karnataka High Court and a Social activist, M.F. Saldanha has condemned the attack on a local Christian house (Surathkal) during the Christmas festival, as ‘savage’ in quality, and blamed the city police and Dakshina Kannada district administration for apathy, inn a press meet held on Monday.
He was referring to anti-social attack at Surathkal, and also to the nuisance committed on Hebron Church at Haleangadi on Dec 28.
Justice Saldanha charged that the Police department had been ‘saffronised’, as also Dakshina Kannada administration.

He (MFS) criticized DCO for taking no preventing measures against church vandals. The Law Enforcement machinery (police) had failed in its task of safeguarding (Christian) people, he fumed.
