Bangalore: Speaking at home in a press meet specially called to tackle Lokayukta SP, Madhukar  Shetty’s (abroad on leave )contention that corrupt persons are found even in Lokayukta office , former Lokayukta N. Santosh Hegde contended that he did not act like someone,s handmaid, while giving his final voluminous report.

When BJP is fighting for Jan Lokpal Bill at the centre, it is an irony to say that state Lokayukta office should be closed, by those blamed in the report.

No political party had stood by me, Hegde retorted.  All 3 parties figure in his report. No one can buy me, the former Supreme Court Judge specified.

He pointed out that Corruption had seeped into all Government departments, also the office of Lokayukta. But politicians are overcounting the Corrupt in LA office.

He disclosed that M. Shetty who worked for 2years as SP was not on good terms with ADGP, R.K. Gupta. Hegde said he did not work for anyone or a party.

But he knew from the date an ex-CM went to jail, Lokayukta has been discredited, only to Weaken its powers, Hegde explained.
