Karkala: Ajekar hobli revenue inspector, Trivikrama Adiga demanded a bribe from Chandrasekar Nayak of Hermunde to the extent of Rs 3,000, for changing the Khota (account) of his land, on application.

Nayak informed Lokayukta police and trapped Adiga on Tuesday, when Lokayukta team arrested Adiga, while accepting Rs 3,000 red-handed from the informer.

Lokayukta police also recorded the conversation that took place between Nayak and Adiga, before detaining the revenue inspector.

The accused (Adiga) was produced before a court and remanded till March 9 in judicial custody Dy SP Sadananda Vernekar directed the arrested operations, with several officers to help him in team.
