Bengaluru : Revenue Minister Mr R Ashoka congratulated Bengaluru South MLA Mr M Krishnappa over his appointment as the first chairman of the Vokkaliga Development Board. Welcoming him in a grand manner at a party workers’ meet in Padmanabhanagar Assembly segment on Monday, Mr Ashoka said that the State budget had already reserved Rs 500 crore for the board which will work for the welfare of the various sub-sects of the Vokkaliga community. He termed that it was a matter of privilege that Mr Krishnappa was its first chairman.
Motivating the party workers to dedicate their work to the party, Mr Ashoka recalled his political journey as to how he had faced various challenges to reach the position where he is today. “If we work sincerely, then our work will definitely be recognised by the party and I am the best example. I also urge everyone to bury personal differences and work united for the growth of the party”, he said, adding that more than 25,000 food kits were distributed in Padmanabhanagar constituency. “We have tried to cover all the sectors in distributing food kits; those working in crematorium to security guards and paper boys to milk delivery boys. However, we want to give out more food kits and are currently planning to provide them to private school teachers who have been hit hard by Covid. In fact, Padmanahanagar segment is a model in party organisation”, he added.
