Bengaluru : On behalf of the Government of Karnataka, Revenue Minister Mr R Ashoka welcomed the Governor designated Mr Thaawarchand Gehlot at Kempegowda International Airport on Saturday.

Speaking to the media, Mr Ashoka said, “Mr Gehlot is an experienced politician and has served as Union minister earlier. Mr Gehlot has great concern for poor people. Hence, it is a welcome move to have him as Governor of Karnataka. I had personally called him in the morning to convey that I will be representing the State in inviting him today. Hence, I have been joined by the Chief Secretary in welcoming him at the airport.” Mr Gehlot will be sworn-in as Governor of Karnataka on July 11 at 10-30 A M at the Glass House of Raj Bhavan.
