Bengaluru : Revenue Minister Mr R Ashoka accompanied Hon’ble Chief minister BS Yediyurappa for a spot visit of Namma Metro Phase 2-Reach 2 (Mysore road to Kengeri stretch) on Tuesday. This seven-kilometre stretch will connect Nayandahalli, RR Nagar, Jnana Bharati, Pattanagere, Kengeri Bus terminal and Kengeri.
Later speaking to the media, Mr R Ashoka said, “We reviewed the work progress. Metro officials have informed that they are waiting for the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) to conduct a safety trail inspection. Officials are hopeful that the Metro trains will be operational for public use by July on this stretch.
Home Minister Mr Basavaraj Bommai, Housing Board Minister Mr V Somanna, Minister of Co-operation Mr ST Somashekar, BMRCL MD Mr Rakesh Singh and BBMP Chief Commissioner Mr Gaurav Gupta were also present.
