Kundapur : Cops have  arrested one Ganesh Poojari, an autorickshaw driver at Shastri Circle, Kundapur on charges of kidnapping a minor girl after luring her. The arrest was made on the night of March 15. He was trapped along with the girl in a rented house.

The minor girl was reported missing since February 23 ever since she left home for tuitions. It is said Ganesh had lured and taken her along with him and had placed her under detention in a rented house behind Kalikamba Temple near Katkeri.

The girl was sent with her parents after her statement was secured. Ganesh was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody till March 30.
