Mangaluru : Miscreants brutally attacked a rowdy-sheeter in broad daylight at Moodushedde here on Friday August 19.

Charan (31), a resident of Capitanio, was travelling by auto with his wife and child after visiting Charan’s mother in Mangaluru hospital.

It is said, Charan, was attacked by the four assailants near the petrol bunk. They came in a Bolero and attacked him. Charan died in a hospital a while later.

The auto driver said that Charan’s child was in his arms when he was attacked, but there are no reports of injuries to anyone else.

The driver also said that three of the attackers could be identified as Imran, Rizwan and Saifuddin.

The same auto driver also took Charan to a private hospital, where he has been admitted.

Charan had been arrested by the Kavoor police in late 2014 in connection to some case.

Police commissioner Chandra Sekhar visited the hospital. Mangaluru rural police arrived at the spot and registered a case.
