Bantwal : A group of persons allegedly questioned two girls and a boy for reportedly coming to a hotel near their college in Melkar near Bantwal on Saturday evening.

According to the hostel warden the girls had allegedly gone out without informing. They then went to the hotel where they met a male classmate and were having tea. Meanwhile few right-wing activists who saw the trio grew suspicious and informed the police. 

The Bantwal Town Police said that the three persons, belonging to two different communities, had reportedly come to have refreshments at a newly-opened hotel near their college.

As they were drinking juice, a group of persons came to the hotel and allegedly questioned the boy for coming to the hotel along with his classmates. The two girls were also reportedly abused.

Following a telephone call from onlookers, the police rushed to the spot. People started to gather at the hotel. The police took the students away in a vehicle to a nearby place. They narrated the incident but did not file any complaint against the group.
