Udupi: In a shocking incident, a rowdy-sheeter was attacked with machetes, chased and hacked to death in broad daylight by gang of three to four persons at Kotanakatte under Hiriadka police limits here on Monday December 19.

The deceased identified as Praveen Kulal was involved in various cases.

It is learnt that Praveen got into an argument with three or four persons at a bar and restaurant. The argument soon turned ugly and the group attacked Praveen with machetes.

Praveen ran out of the restaurant to save himself, however the group followed him and he was hacked to death in front of a travel agency located opposite the restaurant.

The assailants fled the spot immediately.

Police immediately rushed to the spot.
