Mangaluru: The City is witnessing, regular theft and the thieves in city are getting more and more brazen. In a yet another case of theft, at Maple store, the authorized apple showroom located in Balmatta, thieves boke into and decamped with the items worth Rs 20 lakhs. Police remained unware of theft in a showroom that is located in the heart of the city.

According to the sources, the security agency located in Mumbai, were alerted by the theft alarm that was fitted on the products by them, as soon as the thieves stole the product, who in turn alerted the manager of the Maple store in Mangalore. The store manager immediately informed the police and arrived at the spot along with them.

However the thieves made good with the stolen property, which proved that the thieves are fast enough to cheat even the security system. It is a question to ask as to why such alert could not be made directly to the Stores manager and why Mumbai has to be alerted and inturn they inform Mangalore.
