Mangalore : RTC which hitherto was an authorized proof to one’s ownership of a land, will shortly be replaced by Property Cards or PR Cards. The government, which aims at implementation of Urban Property Ownership Records (UPOR) will now issue Property Cards to the people owing property.

Speaking to reporters here, V Ponnuraj, Deputy Commissioner of Shimoga and N  Yogish Bhat, Deputy Speaker said  the  Property Cards will be issued by the Department of Survey Settlement and Land Records under the Karnataka Land Revenue Act and Rules. Apart from Mangalore, the project will be implemented in Shimoga, Mysore, Bellary, Hubli Dharwad under PPP model.

They informed that  Property Cards would be made mandatory in the near future and conversion sketches will be done through Urban Property Ownership Records.
