Mangalore : Dr. H. N. Krishna, State Chief Information Commissioner has ordered the Karnataka Industrial Development Board has ordered the Karnataka Industrial Development Board (KIADB) to return compliance for claims made by the Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ)
Speaking at the RTI meeting held at DC Office on Aug 4, Thursday, he said that MSEZ is not established by laws made by parliament or made by the government.
He said that KIADB, has only 23 percent interest in MSEZ and has taken the responsibility to relocate the displaced people of the project and providing special package reaches all the affected people.
He warned the KIADB to submit files about the land acquiring process by the company, which is not found in any kind of law in the country. He added that the KIADB had acquired over 3,830 acres of land for the MSEZ.
He said that action will be taken against the college and any grants provided to the college will be stopped if the information is not provided tot eh students who has taken the training by these displaced students in the professional colleges.
Fourteen of the 21 cases lodged by citizens were disposed, and the other seven were absent.
