Mangalore : Ryan International Group Managing Director Grace Pinto said that the Ryan Group did not work for the publicity, but to provide education to the underprivileged children.
She was speaking to the media representatives, at the special meet held to interact with them at Hotel Ocean Pearl on October 9, Tuesday.
She also said that they Ryan International Group of Institutions have adopted 400 and odd children from the Tsunami affected areas. Around 500 and odd children from Haryana Border have been also adopted and provided education after taking children from the Railway Station, she said.
Speaking about the interest to serve for the poor, she said that Mother Theresa has been her role model and Jesus Christ is her friend and guide throughout her social service.
Speaking about her home town, she said that she has completed her childhood in Bajpe, Mangalore and dream to be a teacher. Then her dream came true, when she was married to Dr. A.F. Pinto, Founder Chairman of Ryan International Group and started a first school for 30 children in Mumbai after selling her gold jewelery.
She said that at present Ryan Groups have set up 120 schools across the country and three schools in Bangalore and very soon a school from the same group will be established in Mangalore. The school project to established was delayed in Mangalore because, people coming with any projects to their home town must be fully prepared and not give any chance to lose their reputation in their home town, hence Ryan will spread out its institutions in whole country and plan for special and well planned project to Mangalore, she said.
