Mangaluru: Raghunath Shet (73), the owner of S. L Shet Jewellers and Diamond House, breathed his last on Tuesday, April 7 at the KMC hospital.

He failed to respond to the treatment and passed away at around 11.30 am on Tuesday, he was hospitalized three days ago due to breathlessness, family sources said.

He joined the business in 1965 along with his brother M Ravindra Shet. S L Shet Jewellers was set up in 1947 by Subraya Lakshman Shet.

Raghunath Shet was the former president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal. He is survived by wife, three sons and a daughter.
