Bengaluru: External Affairs minister and former Karnataka CM, S.M. Krishna, who is under the scanner of Lokayukta these days on land conversion matters, has accused Anna Hazare, who is fighting against national Cancer of Corruption to root it out by a strong LokPal Bill coming into force, of giving confusing statements in public to mislead people in the country.
SMK had come to Bengalur to attend a private function on Sunday (Dec 18) and was enraged by Hazare’s straight talk against congress leaders, who cheat common people by false assurances.
Talking to news reporters in city, Krishna stated that the centre was ready to bring in a strong Lokpal Bill with teeth in it. There can be no doubt about presenting this bill on Dec 20 in Loksabha, he pointed out.
But he asked Hazare to stop making contradictory bad statements on MPs, by blowing hot and cold over them by turns.
Hazare was in Bangalore at Freedom Park on Saturday (Dec 17), to demand the appointment of Lokayukta in Karnataka, which is headless during last 4 months.
He had also criticized UPA leaders not bringing in the Lokpal bill in Parliament as yet, in the same breath.
SMK did not like Hazare’s attitude of misleading people, against Congress leadership in New Delhi.
