Mangalore: The state government has appointed S.Ramesh as the new chairman of Mangalore Urban Development Authority at Kottara Chowki in city.

He takes charge from Dr.B. Madhava Bhandary on Dec 7. The new head of MUDA is from Kateel in Dakshina Kannada and has experience in industry and government, social and religious services.

He is district treasurer of BJP unit. He is the chief administrator/Trustee of Attavara Sri Uma Maheshwar Temple since 18 years. The temple was renovated by him at a coast of Rs. 60 lakhs 8 ears ago, by funds collected from devotees.

He is running a photo colour laboratory during the last 28 years. He served as district secretary of Ganiga (Oilmen) community for 2 decades.
