He was giving a talk on Saadat Hasan Manto at a programme organised by the Journalists’ Study Center in Mangalore on May 11, Friday. Rajashekhar further said Manto never hesitated to speak truth as he was never after popularity,
Manto a poet of Kashmiri origin had worked for AIR during world war II and was known for his works, ‘BU’ (Odour), ‘Khol Do’ (open It), ‘Thandda Gosht’ (Cold Meat) and ‘Toba Tek Singh’.
