Mangalore: Mangalorean high jump athlete Sahana Kumari who even represented India at the London Olympics inspired and motivated several young sporting talents at the Mayura Cup event held at Sharjah under the auspices of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah on November 23, Friday.

If  Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha defeated Bunts Dubai in ladies throwball, in the men’s event,  Bunts Dubai defeated Konkans Dubai in the finals.

 Seamens Friends bagged volleyball championship, while New Mark defeated Rama Khathriya to lift the Kabaddi trophy.

President of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah Satish Poojary, Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld, Harish Sherigar and Mark Denis D’Souza  were present.

Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Sri Kshetra Odiyoor, blessed the occasion.

Mark Dennis D’Souza felicitated Sahana Kumari for her achievement in the field of sports.
