Mangalore: The members of Samata Women’s Association, observing its 20th year of existence, conducted their Sept. 2010 programme in Subrahmanya auditorium in city on 18th. Ms Savithri Ramarao, a music / veena exponent and teacher, was the Chief Guest of the evening.

Children within 12 years, of members of the society, were admitted in a Fancy Dress competition on religious lines (say, Krishna/Radha/Rama/Sita etc.). the participants were given cash prizes and mementoes.
A boy under financial stress Ravindra, was given monetary assistance Chief Guest Savitri Ramrao was honoured in the occasion by Samata Women’s Association, whose President Katyayini Seetharam, Vinoda Anantram Rao and Shubha Jayaram Bhat offered fruits, mementoes, flowers and a saree in appreciation to her.

Musical programme was arranged at the end from veena exponent Ms. Savitri Ramrao.
