Mangalore: A cultural programme organised on Monday April 2, named ‘Sameeksha’ having songs, dances, music and theatre arts as an integral part of learning in a Summer Camp for teachers as well as students, was inaugurated by city MLA, N. Yogish Bhat who addressed the gathering. He called it a creative process that went into learning in a camp arranged for children to develop inner skills and demonstrate stage acts by a performance.
Reshma, as managing trustee of ‘Sameeksha’ observed that class room learning becomes monotonous with books and notes, but if you supplement it with arts and crafts from basic sciences, the children become interested and happy to become innovative, to shed the lack of awareness, and carry India forward in a global survey to her normal high position.
The Camp teaches children who enrolled, about how to analyse lessons, lead discussions, and make learning a fun. The students learn to dance to the poems taught in their classes.
They enact dramas based on certain lessons. They draw pictures of some lessons, as they like to draw. This completes their learning by an all round fulfillment of wants in each grade, Rashmi explained.
DK-ZP chief K.T. Shailaja Bhat attended new Summer Camp of immense possibilities for Kids.
