Bangalore: Kolar MLA Y Sampangi who has been jailed in a bribery case, has moved the High Court seeking bail and to reconsider the ruling of the Lower Court which has sentenced him to prison.
Justice Jagannathan has informed that Sampangi’s bail plea would come up for hearing on June 5, Tuesday. It may be recalled here that the Lokayukta Court which ruled Sampangi as a convict in a bribery case, has sentenced him to three and a half years of rigorous imprisonment apart from imposing a penalty of Rs 90,000. He is presently lodged in the Parappana Agrahara jail.
