Mangalore : The Elu Patna (Seven towns) Mogaveera Samyukta Sabha (Fishermen’s United Assembly) takes the initiative to offer coconuts and flowers to the West coast Sea at Thanneerbavi near Panambur beach on Saturday, August 13, during the Samudra Pooja day (Sea worship), a customary annual feature with fishing communities, at 11am.
A procession will be taken out at 9am from Kudroli Sri Rama Bhajan Mandir to the Puja spot at Thanneerbavi, with fishermen from 7 towns jointly participating.
Raja Yogishwar Sandhyanathji, chief of the Kadri Jogi Math takes part in the milk-pouring programme at Sea, and will deliver his blessings to people in an address.
B.Janardhana Poojary and N.Yogish Bhat are expected to participate as main guests. CM DVS Gowda is expected to visit Sangh Niketan at 9 am on Saturday, from Dharmasthala.
