Udupi: The followers of social activists and Gandhian in his outlook, Anna Hazare, are supporting his cause in many ways when he continues his fast at Ramlila grounds for the 7th day when Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival is celebrated all over India.
In Manipal, a part of Udupi now, innovative ways are found to explain Anna’s fasting against national corruption in UPA rule, to seek a strong Jan Lokpal bill.
Artists of Manipal Sand Art, led by Venki Palimar and Srinath Manipal, have created clay sculpture on Hazare’s fasting and on going crusade against unbearable corruption in the country.
This new piece of art is displayed at the crowded bus stand where people alight, to rush to Sri Krishna Temple premises. They took time to see the mud art of Anna fighting his battle like Buddha against temptations, and applauded the effort.
