Mangalore : Sandesh KL, a third BSc student  has been elected President of the Students Union  of Mangalore University College, elections for which were held. Mahesh Raj from III BA was elected Secretary, while Avinash also from III BA, Shwetha from III BBM and Pavitra from III BSc were elected Fine Arts Secretary, Joint Secretary and Fine Arts Joint Secretary respectively.

The ABVP candidates won a total of 26 out of the 31 seats while the NSUI bagged five seats.

State ABVP Secretary Ramesh K and other office bearers congratulated the newly elected office bearers. They were later taken out in a procession from the College. The procession passed through the main routes  including KS Rao Road, PVS Circle, MG road, Ladyhill, Lalbagh and concluded at Hampankatta.
