Mangaluru: Karnataka Tulu, Konkani and Beary Sahithya Academies will hold ‘Sangama Sambhrama-2015’ a two-day state-level conference on the theme ‘Modern day crisis – Cultural response’ in association with Kannada and Culture Department, Bengaluru on July 25 and July 26 at Dr Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Nisargadhama, Vamanjoor, here.
Speaking in a press conference B A Mohammed Haneef, president of Beary Sahitya Academy President B A Mohammed Haneef said that the inaugural ceremony on July 25 will be preceded by a procession, at 9.30 am from Vamanjoor junction, which will witness participation by MLAs and dignitaries.
Minister for Kannada and Culture Umashree and other dignitaries will take part in the event along with 65 invited scholars from various parts of the state, he said.
Various cultural programes including Dollina Pada by Karnataka Folk Academy, Moharam Pada Tatwapada and plays by the Karnataka Nataka Academy will be held. Various cultural programmes will be held on July 26 as well.
Prior to the two-day state conference, there will be three days of preliminary events like painting and sculpture art camps.
Tulu Siri depicting Tulu culture, Konkani Sambhram depicting Konkani culture and Pernal Sandhola depicting BEary culture will be held.
Registrars of Konkani, Beary and Tulu Academies Dr B Devadas Pai, Umarabba and Chandrahas Rai, respectively, and others were present.
