Mangalore: Two SSF workers were injured when they were allegedly attacked by a group of three masked Sangh Parivar men at Vamanjoor. The incident took place when the SSF workers were putting up banners of a religious function.
The injured Hyder Ali, an autorickshaw driver and his brother Hassan Ali have been hospitalized. The banner was pertaining to the convocation of a Sunni Educational Institution in Kasargod.One of the assailants has been identified as Ganesh of Kettikal. It is learnt the assailants wanted the victims to remove the banners put up by them.
Kavoor police are investigating the case Meanwhile, the SDPI which has strongly condemned the attack, has demanded the arrest of the accused at the earliest.
