Mangaluru : The fifth day of Ganeshotsava celebrations  held in Mangalore city with great religious favour. Idols of Ganapathi worshipped and immersed after puja and grand prosccession on Monday, September 21.

The 68th Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava celebrations at Sanghaniketan, concluded with a grand Shobhayatra, Various religious rituals were held prior to the procession. There was Mahapooja and prasada distribution after which the glorious procession began.

The colourful procession included the Kerala chende team, bhajans team, and passed through Mannagudda, Carstreet and concluded near the Mahamayee Temple were the idol was immersed in the Temple lake.

KSRTC Ganeshotsav concludes : The 30th Sri Ganeshotsava celebrations at the KSRTC Bus stand premises at Bejai under the aegis of the Sri Vidyaganapathi Seva Trust,KSRTC Mangalore Division also concluded on Monday evening.

A colourful Shobhayatra was taken out on the main streets. The procession included Chende, Kalladka dolls, Nasik band, fire work show and several tableaux. Even this procession concluded at Mahamaya Temple lake where the idol was immersed.

Police Lane Ganeshotsava : The Ganeshotsava Celebratiosn at the Muneeshwara Mahaganapathi Temple, Police Lane also concluded on Monday evening. The colourful procession passed through State Bank, Bunder Police station, Central Market where there were poojas for Ganesha and the idol was immersed in the sea at old port area.
