Mangalore : Santhosh Kumar Gulwadi, (72) renowned writer and former editor of ‘Taranga’, Kannada periodical magazine passed away due to cardiac arrest on December 7, Tuesday.
Gulwadi was the first chief editor of Taranga and continued in the post up till 1996 working behind the magazine’s success. He was able to win the hearts of his readers with the works like ‘Thatha Tingan,’ a compilation of Konkani lullabies and ‘Nanjunda Siri’ a bilingual commemorative souvenir felicitating M S Nanjunda Rao, edited by him.
Recently, Gulwadi was honoured with the Alva’s Nudisiri 2010 Award for his contributions to the field of journalism.
