Mangalore :  Education, good behaviour and a good heart is essential to promote peace and harmony in the society, said Dr Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation.

He was  speaking at Sauharda  Sambhrama 2013, on communal harmony  organised by Milagres Church  Parish Council on June 16, Sunday.

All differences on the basis of caste creed and religion should end for a peaceful society, he stressed.

Dr A M Khan of PG department of electronics, Mangalore University in his address  said education, experiment, safety, prosperity, health and responsibility are the six pillars of harmony.

Walter D’Souza, entrepreneur, Prof P L Dharma of PG department of political science, Mangalore University  and others spoke.

Parish priest of Milagres Church Fr Valerian D’Souza, Convener of the programme John B Monteiro   and others were present.
