Mumbai : Either Saurav Ganguly is eager to play in any team, or Pune Warriors have offered him a hefty sum to fill up the vacancy created by by fast bowler (but injured) Ashish Nehra in Pune Warriors, which after playing 8 games so far in IPL-4 series, is at the bottom of 10 teams with 4 points only.
There could be just one game left for Pune and he cannot pull Pune to the top group level entering semi finals, in a week’s time.
But the door has opened late for a disconcerted former Indian Captain and opening southpaw batsman left out so far that is Saurav, and he is grabbing the chance with both hands, like Chris Gayle and late bloomer like Sunny Sohal (Deccan Chargers).
Saurav is getting ready on Wednesday for a clash with the top team Mumbai Indians, which has a fair chance of winning IPL-4 from CSK (Chennai) Team, winners of IPL-3. Let us hope for the best.
