New Delhi: The stay order given by Supreme Court on the publication of Lucknow bench (UP) of Allahabad HC on Sept. 23 has been vacated today (Sept. 28). The Suuny Walkfs Board had called for vacating the stay on delivering the verdict, before retirement of Justice Sharma of Allahabad HC as on October 1. there is expectation in the air of pronouncing the Lucknow verdict on Ayodhya land title in the next few days. A 3-men bench of SC with CJI Kapadia at the head has heard the petition of RC Tripathi seeking an out of court settlement. The SC has now dismissed the Plea for any deferment of the verdict of Lucknow bench. The SC order came after 2 hours of arguments. Tripathi was fined for his plea.
The road is now cleared for Allahabad HC to read out its verdict on Babri / Ram Janam Bhoomi title case that remained unsolved for 60 years. Attorney-General Vahanvati also sought an end to the uncertainity in the title case. The scene now moves to Lucknow HC bench.
