Kinnigoli: In an ghastly accident between a tipper and a scooter kills a student near Pompei College at Moorukaveri in Kinnigoli on September 7.

Varshith Kotian (21), a resident of Karnad, and his friend Derick Vas (20) were on their way for lunch when the incident occurred.

Eye wittiness said, Varshith was run over by the tipper as soon as he fell on the road, and died on spot.

His pillion rider Derick survived the accident and sustained injuries. He  admired  at a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Varshith was a final year BBM student and Derick is a second year BBM student at Pompei College.

A case has been registered at Mangaluru North traffic police.
