Udupi : A scooterist died on the spot after a palm oil tanker collided with the scooter at Hejamady on Setember 15, Saturday.

The deceased is identified as Jayraj(55). He was going to Pakshikere from Udupi.

Jayaraj resident of Nejar and  was employed abraod had been to hometown.

The Palm oil tanker was on its way to Srirangapattana from Mangaluru harbour. As the driver lost control on the vehile it hit the divider and collided with the Jayraj’s scooter plying from opposite direction. Due to the impact he was crushed to death.

He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.

Padubidri police have registered the case.
