Mangalore : D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala inaugurated the Students Council of SDM Law College here on August 27, Tuesday.

In his address, Dr Heggade called upon law students to  forget all barriers and hold the constitution supreme.

Health Minister UT Khader and Udupi CMC Commissioner K Srikanth Rao, both old students of SDM Law College, were honoured on the occasion.

Khader in his address urged students to empower themselves and also  work towards their goal in life with due co-operation of their parents and teachers.

SA Bari, Vice Chancellor of Kuvempu University, presided over the function. The new office bearers of Students Council were administered oath by T Vidyashanker, Staff advisor. Anish Krishna is the new president of the Students Council.  Dr BK Ravindra, Principal was also present.
