Mangalore: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) at a people’s participatory meeting of 6000 listeners held on Nehru Maidan on Friday March 2, claimed that it was India’s only ray of hope, when all else was in shambles.
E. Abubakkar “national” president in a speech said that this D district level people’s political conference was organised to spread political awareness as if to say the voters all these years were not aware of what Congress BJP and other parties ruling India and its states had done through planning and commanding the economic heights.
The SDPI has no state existence at present.
Speaking on the origin and growth of his largely Muslim party to awaken sleeping Muslims and for ending their inner-group struggles all these years, Abubakkar said that SDPI was formed 2 years ago. It had expanded to 22 states across the country when congress BSP and other parties had their own Muslim vote banks. He hoped that SDPI would have an active role to play in state whoever formed the Govt.
But there is no MLA, or Taluka Panchayat member of SDPI in Karnataka at present. He criticised 3 MLAs who lost ministerships for a ten-minute sin within Vidhna Sabha recently.
Abdul Majeed K inaugurated and Abdul Jaleel presided over the open event. A few TN leaders and RR Sangh office bearers, also of SDPI were present.
