Mangalore : The Social Democratic Party of India DK district committee staged a protesting against the State Governments anti-people policy and undemocratic rule, in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner here on Friday, October 15.
Around 100 people participated in the protest holding placards and flags.
Addressing the protesters, Abdul Majeed Kodlipate, Karnataka State President of SDPI said that BJP led Government is killing states democracy system through unconstitutional activities.
He also said that, the people in the state have seen various scandals in the past two and half years. He also criticized the Speaker of legislative assembly KG Bopaiah for unconstitutionally disqualifying 16 democratically elected MLAs in order to save the BJP led government.
State Committee Member of SDPI Anwar Sadath, demanded the Governor to dissolve the government and save the people and democratic system of the state.
Azeez Suratkal, Muhammad Nasi , Jaleel Krishnapur, Krishnappa Sunnaje and Saleem Guruvayanakere were present.
