Mangaluru : SDPI Ullal block committee president booked under the POCSO Act at Ullal police station against the  for the sexual harassment of a minor girl.

The accused identified as Ullal resident and SDPI Ullal block committee president Siddiq.

The accused is said to have got acquainted with the girl under the pretext of helping her mother.

Siddiq who was charged for the crime absconded soon after the complaint was registered at the police station.

A complaint has been also registered against SDPI leaders Nawaz Ullal, Nizamuddin, Iftikar and Mustafa who have allegedly threatened the victim’s mother to not file a police complaint.
